THE RIDE: 69 Chevelle 383 stoker tci stage 3 powerglide pro tree brake 12 bolt Howard’s 530/530 centered on 104intake /106 exhaust Qa1 stage 3 pro touring suspension kit
THE STORY: We purchased the car June 12, 2020. We was blown away at the price and couldn’t pass it up. We drove it back on a 5 hour trip from Kentucky to East Tennessee. Had a bone stock 350 and 700r4 that barely fell out of a tree. My father bought the car for me to have something to remember him by where I didn’t meet him till I was 18. Brittany “my ol lady”and I started out one day and the fuel pump went out. Well that was a good enough reason for us to build a 383 stroker.
We look at this car as our relationship in the beginning we both had potential ,but needed some tlc. I jerked out the driveline and next thing I know Brittany has the engine tore down to bare block. She said,” now let’s build something strong, reliable, and some attitude. We turned the old 350 that was in it into a 383 stroker, camshaft is a Howard’s 530/530 centered on 104intake /106 exhaust, tci stage 3 powerglide pro tree brake, 12 bolt Qa1 stage 3 pro touring suspension kit. We have slowly been starting on body work. I have always for as long as I can remember been around hot rods.
When Brittany & I got together she understood the love I had for cars and trucks so she stuck by my side with every project. Customized cars are just like a relationship with your spouse. You start with something/ someone you love. Must ad for laughs both usually have previous owners but with enough TLC, hard work, and loyalty you can have something that grabs everyone’s attention and have them seeing how much staying focused and motivated pays off. Remember your project car isn’t just a project it’s a kids dream, a lifestyle, most importantly an unbreakable love!
